Looking to connect with other women in your community, make new friends, and boost both your physical and mental well-being?
Our community women’s group initiative—created by women, for women— brings together English-speaking women (with a primary focus on those aged 30–50) to foster friendships, health, and happiness.
If you want to join in, we’d love to see you! Whether you’re new to the area or simply looking to meet new people and find solidarity, our Squad offers a warm, welcoming space for you to connect, grow, and flourish alongside other women in your community.
Aims of our the She Squad:
- Physical Health: Regular activity strengthens your body, reduces the risk of chronic disease, and helps you stay flexible and strong — especially during and after child-bearing years and approaching menopause.
- Mental well-being: Getting together to move and connect can ease stress, ease symptoms of anxiety and depression, and foster greater resiliency and peace of mind.
- Social Connection: Work, parenting, and caregiving responsibilities can sometimes feel isolating. Our group provides a supportive space where women can talk, problem-solve, and care for each other in a friendly, informal setting.
- Community Engagement: Monthly sessions help women form friendships, develop community ties, and become more engaged in their surroundings — strengthening both their own well-being and that of the community.
- Modeling Healthy Lifestyles: When children see their caregivers making health and friendships a priority, it sets a powerful example. Our group highlights the role the school and community can play in holistically strengthening health and wellness.
Sessions will be a mixture ocasual, friendly games — a perfect blend of fitness, fun, and relaxation. To align with Voice of English-speaking Québec’s risk management procedures, participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.
