Understanding Social Economy

Join us for a  guided, interactive workshop designed to help young adults understand the social economy, identify real-world issues in their communities, and begin developing ideas for social impact projects.
What’s in the session?
  • Social Economy 101: A quick and accessible introduction to what the social economy is, how it works, and why it matters in Québec.
  • Docu-discussion: Short video clips and guided conversations to explore community needs and collective solutions.
  • Hands-on workshop
What will I walk away with?
  1. A better understanding of the social economy and collective entrpreneurship.
  2. A concrete idea for a collective project that addresses a real need.
  3. Knowledge of how to involve stakeholders in a collective enterprise.

This activity is offered for free and we’ll provide refreshments and snacks!

 

The session is developed by Regional Development Network (RDN) and will be facilitated by Mario Oropeza from RDN’s SEEnet initiative.  This session is in partnership with Voice of English-speaking Québec and offered through our Young & Empowered program, for youth and young adults in our community.

 

The session will take place in English.
