That's Life - Our Stories and Experiences around Mental Health

Here, we offer a platform for all individuals in our community to open up about their life journeys.  Their powerful accounts remind us of resilience, vulnerability, and the healing strength of community.

Take a moment to explore these heartfelt stories and connect with the strength and honesty behind each one. By opening up, listening and reflecting, we can break stigma and move closer to a world where mental health is met with compassion, not judgement.

Have a story of your own? Your voice has the power to inspire, uplift, and let someone else know they’re not alone. Your experience might be the lifeline someone else is searching for. Send your piece to Verity, We Mind Mental Health Program Coordinator, at vjordan@jhpartners.net.

You can find resources to assist you with your health and well-being: Mental Health Services, Crisis Care Helplines, and Resources for Youth and Young Adults.

Through a series of workshops, our partners, Voice of English-speaking Québec (VEQ) helped participants discover the basics of podcasting, storytelling, interviewing and editing.  By encouraging participants to speak up and providing them with a platform to do so, VEQ promotes civic and community pride and enhances their sense of belonging.
