PAIR Program

The PAIR program is an automated prevention call system designed to support individuals who live alone, feel isolated, face health challenges, or receive few visitors.

Through PAIR, participants receive automated medication remindersdaily check-in calls to confirm their well-being, and birthday and holiday wishes.

Automated prevention calls

During your daily automated call, you’ll be asked to confirm that you’re safe or to request help by pressing a key on your phone. If you don’t answer, the PAIR dispatch team is immediately notified and a first responder (previously identified) will be dispatched to your location. Calls are always made at the same time each day.

Medication reminders

You can receive up to four medication reminders per day, helping you stay on track with your prescribed schedule.

The voice behind the PAIR messages

Jeffrey Boyington – The Voice That Survived Winnipeg Winters and Beijing Smog

Born in Winnipeg , Jeffrey Boyington learned early on that if you can pronounce “Portage and Main” without freezing your tongue, narrating medical instructions in Quebec is a breeze.

The son of an Royal Canadian Air Force officer, Jeffrey grew up treating Canada like one giant posting: from the Prairies to the Pacific, with a two-year detour to 1970s Beijing. A lifelong aviation enthusiast, he still gets goosebumps when the Snowbirds roar overhead.

Military service runs deep: Army Cadets, the Canadian Reserves, Battle School with Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry, and later a role as a Medical Assistant with 2 Field Ambulance in Petawawa. Through this, he learned discipline, teamwork, and how to bring order to just about any situation.

After hanging up the combat boots, Jeffrey trained as a voice actor in Toronto and quickly became the go-to voice when something needs to sound calm, trustworthy, and reassuring. These days, you can hear his warm baritone guiding English-speaking patients through Quebec’s healthcare system—without raising anyone’s blood pressure.

When he’s not narrating your next set of instructions, Jeffrey is also the English voice of Chef in the Park, a delicious Destination Québec / Bell Fibe TV series that pairs stunning Quebec City scenery with the chefs who make it taste even better. Catch it on YouTube and enjoy a little culinary escape—no travel required.
