Post-natal fitness Spring session: Level 1

Moms! Join our Post-natal fitness class! Designed to help you safely regain strength, mobility and core stability. You will work with a professional kinesiologist to improve posture, and enhance overall fitness while respecting your body.
The class is suitable for mothers at least 6 weeks postpartum (or with medical clearance). No prior fitness experience required.
–Level 1; pelvic floor recovery, from 4 weeks (6 weeks cesarian) to about 5 months
–Level 2; regaining strength from 5 months and onwards. (see event by that name also in our calendar)
Each session will include:
- Core rehabilitation and pelvic floor awareness.
- Low-impact cardio to boost energy and endurance.
- Strength training to support daily movements and lifting.
- Stretching and relaxation to ease tension and promote balance.
Babies and partner are welcome — we create a supportive and inclusive environment where you can move at your own pace and connect with other new moms.
When and where?
- Six Tuesday mornings starting March 24,
- Level 1: 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
- Jeffery Hale Pavilion, 1270 chemin Sainte-Foy (Door 20) in the Community Art Room on the 2nd floor
Our instructor
Isabelle Kingsbury has a masters degree in Kinesiology. She is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She excels with pre and post/natal fitness and healthy lifestyle education. She has worked in a variety of clinical and performance environments and is also a mother of two lovely children.
Due to space restrictions, we need to limit the number of places for this activity.

- Cost: $30 per participant for all six classes.
- Registration deadline is March 20, 2025.
Note: In order for the class to go ahead, we will need a minimum number of registrants.
